Thanks for your replies, I am trying to accomplish what the client is asking me for!! He wants to be able to write a testimonial blockquote, be able to give it a title, content and then an author. Then he also want to choose which page it goes on. I think the best approach here would be something along the lines of what gdaniel has proposed. Its more bottom up than top down. Which has miffed me because I usually like to most things bottom up - but as this is an addition to a 99% finished site my mindset is more 'tacking-on' that 'building-in'. Any discussion on gdaniel's idea?

I need to be able to have a select box on the post edit screen with a select dropdown of pages that have a blockquote on them so they can choose a placement for it. I cant figure out how to populate this select box as pages will be added and I cant see how to add new pages to the select box automatically.

Thanks robin. Yes, I can already do the metaboxes and then use that data to populate them template part. My issue is they also want to choose the actual page it will be displayed on. As the site is dynamic, and pages/posts added all the time - how can I know in advance what pages will have a blockquote displayed as I need a drpdown select box in the post edit screen so they can pick a page to display it on. I can't think of a way to auto populate this select box.

I managed to find another solution - but the tutorial was relevant and I am sure would work 100% - so you get the tick ;]
