Well, I'd use this :
<pre>echo strip_tags(get_the_term_list( $post->ID, 'visits', 'Visits ', ', ', ' ' ));</pre>

EDIT : We use [strip_tags()][1] to deactivate link on taxonomies. This has to be used within the loop.
