I'm afraid that other than waiting for someone to visit your site which runs a function, the only other option is to set up a cron job on your server using something like this http://stackoverflow.com/questions/878600/how-to-create-cronjob-using-bash or if you have a cpanel style interface on your server, sometimes there is a gui for setting this up.
