Core Block Columns Attributes for Innerblocks Template

Question

I am having trouble setting the blockGap or blockSpacing property for my core/columns block which I am using for an Innerblock template.

This is my JSON below. Everything is working as expected, however, the blockGap property for the core/columns part is not working. I am trying both the "spacing" -> "blockGap" property as well as just the "blockGap" property. Should I be defining a different property or is this not yet possible for the block?
