I get a lot of 404 not found errors, via crawl stats inside Google Search Console. My website was hacked about 3 months ago! Is there a possibility that being hacked is the reason that I get these 404 links? If yes, how can I get rid of these errors and fix them? Is disallowing these links in robots.txt file, an appropriate way to solve this problem?

Are they for real pages on your site, or for internal links in your site to now broken pages, or pages that genuinely don't exist? If it's the second one you need to find them and fix them. If it's the last one, you probably want to tell Google Search Console not to try and index them. I'm not sure how you'd do that though.– RupJan 27 at 12:27
