I'm trying to enable the responsive mode in Slider Revolution to check my layout in mobile/tablet devices however when I switch the toggle on and click on the device name, nothing changes. I was expecting to see the layout on those devices but nothing happens.

Can someone please clarify why it's not working?

Extra info:

  • I tried to install a fresh new wordpress with just Slider Revolution plugin installed and default theme but didn't work out
  • I tested in an older website I had made and was working perfectly fine there. BTW I copied the plugin from this wordpress folder and put on my new fresh one and even though didn't work out
  • I tested in the versions 6.1.8 and 6.2.12

  • I'd check for script errors in your browser's developer tools, which is probably going to be easiest done by trying to emulate the mobile device's screen size with a desktop browser; you can attach developer tools to a device for both iOS Safari and Android Chrome but it's easier if you can avoid that. – Rup Aug 27 '20 at 8:12
  • However if there's noting obvious there you'll probably have to ask Revolution Slider directly for help. – Rup Aug 27 '20 at 8:12
  • Thanks, yes probably I'll need to reach out to them. Thnx! – Gabriel Linassi Aug 27 '20 at 19:12
  • Since I cannot yet post a comment, what was the problem after all, can you post it here? – mtsiakiris Oct 24 '20 at 16:28

I was having the exact same problem! Reverting to a previous version of wordpress worked for me.

I'm running a version of Slider Revolution that came bundled with my theme, which is 6.2.6. It works fine on Wordpress 5.4.2, but will break when Wordpress is updated to 5.5.3.

On a site for another client, we're running Slider Revolution 6.2.23, and that works fine with the latest version of Wordpress.

So, I'd guess that if you either update your Slider Revolution plugin, or roll back your Wordpress to 5.4, you should be able to get those toggles working again!
