I have moved a site which was developed in localhost to a new web host with a new domain. I updated the site_url and home_url in the wp_options table. I put a basic .htaccess file to the webroot. But when I try to load the file with the domain, all the contents are trying to load with an IP. That IP doesn't exist in the DB or any files.

I tried to host this site in many hosts and the same behaviour occurred. (Redirects to the host's IP address not to the domain)

What can be the reason?

My first guess is that somewhere in your database you still have the IP set rather than the new URL of the site you're moving to. – Tony Djukic Jun 2 at 5:06
