I faced with the following issue: I have core admin menu group - Users (containing "All Users", "Add New" and "Your Profile" items) and custom Top-Level item Couriers, which is just a Users with a filter by type (wp-admin/users.php?role=courier). When I click on Couriers link, this link is still inactive, but Users block is open and "All users" item (this item url is wp-admin/users.php) is active. I suppose, this happened, because WordPress cut query string args and think it's a wp-admin/users.php link.
I have tried a lot of options, including parent_file and submenu_file hooks, remove_submenu_page action, but it doesn't work. Is there any other way to solve this without js?
