I have a WordPress site using the theme Twenty Seventeen. I want to insert a tiny image (not a logo) on the right edge of the title. The image isn't much taller than the letters.

I couldn't find any guidance, so I located the file that contains div.site-branding-text, downloaded it, and inserted the image manually. The code looked something like this:

<div class="site-branding-text">
                        <h1 class="site-title"><a href="example.com/" rel="home">MySite</a><img src="../../images/home/title.png" alt="Title Image"/></h1>

However, it did some really weird things. For example, the image displayed on the left side, rather than the right. Finally, I gave up and deleted the image. Yet a tiny version of it still displays on the left side. I suspect I can zap it by changing themes, then changing back to Twenty Seventeen.

In the meantime, is there a way to insert a tiny image in a WordPress site's title, or is it a lost cause?
