I embedded a login form in my websites header for not logged in users. I added it using this code in my navigation-top.php:

<?php if ( is_user_logged_in() ) { ?>
    <?php }
else { ?>
    <?php wp_login_form( $args ); ?>
<?php
} ?>

and this custom CSS:

form {
    overflow: hidden;
}
input {
    float: right;
    clear: both;
}

everything works as expected but it is not looking good. How do I change the look of the wp_login_form? I want the boxes having a custom size and I want to remove the text above the Fields, and use placeholders instead. I am using a child theme, based on twentyseventeen. Could you please help me achieving this? Please let me know if you need further information.
