I currently have a wordpress site using plain links for each post (i.e. /?p=123) on top of nginx. I want to migrate this site to a static only site, but not mess up other blog links to mine and search engine results to the blog as well.

There are a few plugins that will convert my site to static, but they all require non-plain permalinks when I have. Also pretty much all instructions I can find are dealing with 302 redirects with apache2. I'm running nginx.

Is there a way this can be done? I'm assuming that this would be in steps. That is I first need to change permalinks and get that to work. I then need to get 302's working so ?p=123 redirects to the correct permalink. Finally convert everything to static.
