I have done a bunch of searches so I'll quickly answer some questions...

  • No caching plugin activated
  • Turned off varnish (liquidweb)
  • Rebooted ngnix server
  • Purged cloudflare and set development mode

Yet for some reason, my logged out users are still seeing an older version of my page. Not too much older, about 12 hours, but in a blog that updates every few minutes, that's a lifetime.

Notes: - I can hit control-F5 a few times and get a fresh page but going to a new page or doing a normal reload reverts back to 12 hours ago - I changed themes and I could see the new version logged in but logged out still showed the cache - I deactivated all my plugins and no change

I'm at a loss of what to do now. Any suggestions?

  • try browsing in different browsers ( or incognito mode ) to make sure it's cache issue. – maverick Aug 25 '18 at 6:58
  • It's all the same. Different browsers, different devices. If I'm logged in, I can see the latest version of the site. If not, I only see that last cached version which is now about 24h old. – Steve Beans Aug 25 '18 at 15:15
