I read on the forums that some suggested deleting the plugin responsible (which i assumed to be wordfence) so I have done that. I also deleted the wflogs folder and a wordfence.php I believed to possibly be the problem however I am still experiencing the same error! Please help!

  • don't just delete the wordfence.php file, delete the entire folder (plugins/wordfence/) – Adelin Jun 7 '18 at 6:12

Please verify the web server has permission to access the configuration files. You may also try to rebuild the configuration file. by Natmark
