I've been struggling with putting https on my wordpress website. I think I've done everything somewhat correctly, the certificate is installed, the htaccess and the apache conf files configurated, domain name changed... but the HTTPS only works on the front page and the wordpress administration pages, and on the other pages of my website it says error 404... I also tried to use a plugin that would do everything automaticly, but it has the same problem.

Could someone help please?

  • You shouldn't need to do anything to your .htaccess file... What changes did you make to your .htaccess and apache conf files? Please also share your website URL if possible. – Mat Apr 20 '18 at 10:53
  • htaccess : # BEGIN WordPress <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine on RewriteCond% {HTTP_HOST} ^ neogroupe.com [NC, OR] RewriteCond% {HTTP_HOST} ^web.neogroupe.com [NC] (*). RewriteRule ^ $ https: //web.neogroupe.com/$1 [L, R = 301, NC] </IfModule> # END WordPress The only modifs I did in the apache conf file was the certificate the current url is vps521665.ovh.net, but I backed up the site to an http version – hugo wolf Apr 20 '18 at 12:04
  • Try changing your .htaccess file back to how it was by default... codex.wordpress.org/htaccess – Mat Apr 20 '18 at 15:42
  • I already tried that ^^ – hugo wolf Apr 23 '18 at 8:39
