The actual structure of my comments is in shape

<ol>
   <li>
     <ul class='children'>
       <li></li>
       <li></li>
       <li>
         <ul class='children'>
           <li></li>
         </ul>
       </li>
     </ul>
   </li>
</ol>

I need to combine <ul class='childern> together ,And all <li> With different depths have to be in a single <ul class='childern>.

Something like that :

<ol>
   <li>
     <ul class='children'>
       <li class='old-depth-1'></li>
       <li class='old-depth-1'></li>
       <li class='old-depth-1'></li>
       <li class='old-depth-2'></li>
     </ul>
   </li>
</ol>

I do not want to limit the depth of the comments just i want put all of them in a same

Help me please

  • I'm a little bit afraid to ask this question, but... Why? Why do you need such change? Semantic of this code won't be correct after such change... – Krzysiek Dróżdż Mar 21 '18 at 15:00
  • You could consider turning off nested comments entirely - Settings > Discussion, un-check "Enable threaded (nested) comment". I'm not sure whether you would then need to go back and edit your existing comments to remove the threading, but that would collapse all future comments into a single level. – WebElaine Mar 21 '18 at 15:08
  • Because I've designed the template with this method for my comment section – Behnam Moradi Mar 21 '18 at 15:08
