I am migrating Wordpress site from one server to another through Import/Export utility.

While the process went fine, all pictures "disappeared" from all posts. The root cause is that all pictures are resized. So, the link to picture looks like this:

<img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-911914" src="wp-content/uploads/2017/02/pexels-photo-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200">

If I navigate to folder wp-content/uploads/2017/02/ I can see that image pexels-photo.jpg exists there but it is not resolved as pexels-photo-300x200.jpg on main page.

I am searching for automated process how to fix all pictures in blog of about 1500 entries (12 years of blogging) with lots of pictures of different sizes.

  • pexels-photo-300x200.jpg is the name of the image file. If you don't have the file with this name it can't be shown on the page. Use FTP to move your files from one place to another. – Max Yudin Feb 26 '17 at 16:51
  • pexels-photo-300x200.jpg and pexels-photo.jpg are the same picture. If I open the post, click edit on the picture and click save, it is resolved correctly. But I do not want to do this in remaining 1499 posts – Pavel Janicek Feb 26 '17 at 17:52
