A page template I have calls the_content(), which generates html utilizing Bootstrap with a 2 column grid. Main column and sidebar. I have found the file that generates the main column content but I need to change the content inside the sidebar. But I cannot find anywhere the file that the_content() uses to wrap/generate the actual HTML code.

Where is it? Or, what do I do in this situation. I have found no help online.

  • you mean,` the_content()` is generating both the main column and the sidebar ? in the edit page how does it look the content of that page? – David Lee Feb 21 '17 at 19:26

  • yes it's generating both columns. THat's weird right? It's a weird theme....Listify. There's nothing there, the page only serves to display an archive of products. – Duck of Death Feb 21 '17 at 20:26
  • Have you tried searching the theme folder for the_content in an editor such as Sublime Text? – Paul Shryock Feb 21 '17 at 21:03
  • I was hoping against searching through files for lines of code....but it looks like that is exactly what I'll have to do. I was hopeing someone would chime in with easy solutions. GUess not. – Duck of Death Feb 21 '17 at 21:22
