I have two custom taxonomies that are available for built-in posts (as well as some custom post types).

However, when I go to wp-admin/edit.php, in the bulk actions/filters row there are two empty <select> boxes - one named for each taxonomy (there are posts with terms in each selected).

I don't know whether they are supposed to be inserted and populated automatically or if I've done something somewhere that has either added them or emptied them.

I'd be happy with either of two solutions: i) Hide the select dropdowns; ii) Fill in the taxonomies in use; but I don't know where to start looking!

Not to be glib, but you have added terms to both your custom taxonomies? – socki03 Oct 26 '16 at 15:38
  • I have (and you're right, it's probably something stupid that I'm doing). There are terms in the taxonomies and posts have been categorised with some of those terms. – Adam Oct 26 '16 at 16:39
