The textarea box on the Add New Post page is too high for my application. I'd like to change it to 260px high. However the style is embedded. What's the best way to change it, without altering the original file?

<?php
function add_styles() {
?>
   <style type="text/css">
      .wp-editor-container {
          clear: both;
          height: 246px !important;
      }
   </style>
<?php }

add_action('wp_head', 'add_styles');
  • Is there a way to change this css from the functions.php file? – Mark Devlin Jun 3 '14 at 6:50
  • Try to insert this in your functions.php file: <?php function add_styles() { ?> <style type="text/css"> .wp-editor-container { clear: both; height: 246px !important; } </style> <?php } add_action('wp_head', 'add_styles'); – Ezra John Alvarez Jun 3 '14 at 6:53

    @EzraJohnAlvarez First, please use edits for additional info. Second, suggesting to edit core files is a very, very bad suggestion. – kaiser Jun 3 '14 at 6:57
