my -1 would've been a +1 if you only included the numbered points. It is not impossible to be a competent and quality php developer by using only freely available materials; but it requires a high level of commitment, organization, and work.

Learning online is like building with no foundation (which is education - not school but something organized like a book). Tutorials teach you specific solutions while books teach you everything else. | |
