May 6, 2017 at 21:12 | comment | added | Christina | Here, I just tested this gist I made which only gets the image and nothing else to see if it works and it does. gist.github.com/carasmo/5751d529fb3a404f3e2768e59de17dec Test it with the theme you're having issues with and with some other theme like _s or something really uncluttered.

@Christina - I've just updated my post. Nothing huge coming up that I can see. In index.php, I tweaked it by adding: echo "Last SQL-Query: {$loop->request}"; right after $loop = new WP_Query( $args ); , what do you get? Can you try that, and then run the SQL in phpmyadmin, and see what you get?

May 6, 2017 at 17:04 | comment | added | Christina | And what is the message when debug is on?

@Christina thanks. I even tried it on a fresh install of WP, and the latest WooCommerce. Exactly the same problem. I don't see anything in the wp_postmeta table that has meta_key => _featured, which would be why its not finding anything. Where are those values stored? I really don't know the internals of WP/WooCommerce enough to work that out (I would have assumed in the DB itself, but I can't find anything that matches "featured" in there, even though I DO have a featured product, and it shows as such on the admin panel

May 6, 2017 at 16:52 | comment | added | Christina | First is to turn on debug in your wp-config.php file (codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress) then the only thing that was a bug is get_product should be wc_get_product. I assume you've updated your database? Your code worked fine in my theme, picked the featured products and images.
