Nov 24, 2021 at 14:27 comment added dominotrix Fixed it, I had a require_once file that had this code inside it: if ( !current_user_can( 'manage_options' ) ) { wp_die( __( 'You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.' ) ); }
Nov 24, 2021 at 12:47 comment added dominotrix I get “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page” when I use the search form as non-logged-in user. If i search while I am the admin, it works correctly. Any ideas why that happens?
Jan 3, 2011 at 20:51 comment added John P Bloch You run admin-ajax.php because that's how it's done. It provides a forwards and backwards compatible approach and neatly segregates the rendering engine from the ajax functionality being executed. Don't go around the mountain if there's a tunnel right in front of you.
Jan 3, 2011 at 18:26 comment added onetrickpony why would your run admin-ajax.php? Sounds scary. You can just query the current page url...
