Let me get this straight: SEO "value" will only be "calculated" after everything is already rendered on the page? So the way terms are stored or related to in the database has no impact whatsoever on the site ranking?

That's a very nice answer indeed, thanks. But it's not really what i need. I usually go for WordPress SEO, but i wanted to see if there was any "native" difference without any tweaking.

well... the internet is just words... :) I just wondered if maybe the process of registering and storing this terms would mean any difference in SEO from them being hierarchical or not, having rewrite rules or not, having show_ui set to true or not i mean, the fine print. But thanks for the link!

comment add_meta_box: Datepicker like the one for postdate?
I would store it as you'd normally store a custom-value, using update_post_meta so you'd probably split that touch_time() function in two, using one of them to build the form as your callback in add_meta_box and the other one fetching values from $_POST[] abd saving, hooked to the save_post action.

$_GET["tubepress_video"] = get_option('featured_video_id'); worked perfectly. Sometimes i just hate the fact that i know more about wordpress than about PHP itself. Thanks!

comment Append a value to a certain page's URL before page load
The video page is a wp page, up and running. And i got $link back and now i get the correct query. But i guess this hook isn't what i thought, then. I wanted a hook that would redirect any links to mysite.com/videos/ to mysite.com/videos/?tubepress_video=somevideoid, so appending values before page load...

Not really. The last parameter is optional and defaults to $_SERVER[];

Neverming the last comment. I was working with a corrupt db that i thought was a true copy of the real one. post_parents are there. :)
