I tried several different hooks and init seemed okay because I need access to is_user_logged_in.

$opi isn't available on the page, which is why I created $pageopi.

Hmm, that's interesting. Many thanks for the logger function. I was running the plugin on a multisite version of WP so I've just tried it on a fresh install and it's okay!?!
