comment Wp query on taxonomy defined by plugin
what is $getPostsFrom ? Does it work if you use something static, like a string of a term slug?

@user3756781 whoops, was missing my bracket on the 2nd IF - try that!

comment Display content based on a users login
@user3756781 You just need to split your IF statement out, see my updated answer.

comment Breadcrumb not showing custom category post type
On a sidenote, I think is_single('post') should actually be is_singular('post') - is_single() Codex and is_singular() Codex

comment Simple/basic use of get_current_screen
@codeview Glad to hear it! I've updated my answer and removed the references to get_current_screen(). If this works, don't forget to click the checkmark to show others that the question has been answered!

@mrwweb You don't have to use the <i> element, you just need to assign the classes, can be on anything.

comment Admin Panel Menu Classes - Add Them To Anchor
while it does I am assigning icons to each menu item, and I'm doing it via classes. I'd like to have the classes on the anchors for the best use. Think of Font Awesome kind of style.

comment Plugin (kk star rating) not working when I show more items on my page
Unfortunately plugin support is considered off-topic here, you may have more luck using their support forums

comment orderby parameter not working in custom query
It looks correct, what happens if you change your IF statement to if($the_query->have_posts()) : ? Hard to tell what the problem is on this code, you'll mostly end up with guesses.

comment Custom Post hierarchical to custom taxonomy
What if there's multiple children are you wanting to keep stacking them in the URL? I don't have the code on hand but I believe it's a fairly common question if you search around this site.

comment Custom Post hierarchical to custom taxonomy
Setting Hierarchical to true on the Post Type allows you to set parents to posts, setting Hierarchical to Taxonomies allows you to set parents to terms. What are you trying to do exactly? What is your expected output?
