Taxonomy/Custom post type structure suggestion on a movie site I am doing exactly the same, just using another plugin to connect the nominations easily without setting the post parent. After all those plugins were made for easy development, nothing wrong using them right? ;) |

Taxonomy/Custom post type structure suggestion on a movie site @TomJNowell, your suggestion is very close to what I want. So here's what I am deciding to do. I am gonna create a nominations post type with taxonomies: award(academy|grammy|bafta etc), year, type(won|nominated), category(best actor|director). Using post-to-post plugin, I'll create a nomination post (e.g: oscar-2012-harry-potter) with adding actor, person and will assign category , year, type etc.
So every nomination is categorized, have year and have peoples attached to them. Then using post-to-post, I'll attach the nomination to the movie. It sounds best to me. |
