comment Major cache but only on wordpress site
Some web hosts will cache with other server side technology, such as Varnish or integrate with a 3rd party service like CloudFlare. Have you contacted your host's support to validate if they run any caching for you on that level?

To clarify, what sort of changes are happening that you are noticing not being refreshed until ~20 mins later? For example, JavaScript code changes? Or content changes in the post? Or updated PHP logic not appearing to change?

comment Accept (once only) policy page on login
When you say 'login' do you mean login as a normal WordPress user? (Meaning they'll have an account in WordPress with a username and password?). Or is this for anonymous visitors who need to accept a policy before viewing content?

comment Why Won't Exported Blog From One Site Import Into New Site?
@AndrewBartel I also recently purchased a license for their pro version. If you develop locally, stage, and then deploy to production with multiple environments you might like it! I love it because it'll push/pull data right from the admin, along with saving push/pull profiles on a per-installation basis. It's a huge time saver.

comment Fields for different parts of a page
I'm a huge fan of Advanced Custom Fields. It's definitely a must have plugin for any site being managed by WordPress as a CMS. The API is very clean and simple. From within the loop, just call the_field('your_field_name'), or from outside the loop, just additionally call that function with a post id.

It might be helpful to paste the snippet of code you're currently using to display those posts on your start-page.

comment URL Rewriting in WordPress
@apanzett Well, the expression you have there will try to match numerics for the "page" portion. You might try something like add_rewrite_rule('^([^/]*)/^([0-9]*)','index.php?page=$matches[1]&id=$matches[‌‌2]','top'). Notice the slight difference is that the first section will match all strings (since page names are typically words and/or numbers). I've found Debuggex to be a pretty helpful tool for playing with regex.

comment Jetpack infinite scroll not working on Twenty Twelve
Yep, very strange. I'm getting a JavaScript error SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character. So I inspected the response, did a copy/paste of the JSON into JSONLint and was told Valid JSON. At which point I up-voted your question because I'm now curious too!
