The front end pages can be targeted as indicated here: codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/body_class I am looking for the admin counterpart for this.

I would also like to hide the slug and view post button that appear beneath the title by default.

I wanted to give it the appearance of a meta box, that's the main reason. But I could also think of a few other scenarios, like having HTML in the title.

Ok, yes I can see the full list of tables. Isn't a bloated wp_options table bad for performance?

and if not, I should use an array? Does it improve performance or have any other benefit?

Yes this can also work, but adds an extra layer on top of the WordPress Published/Draft system, which I was hoping I could repurpose into Activated/Deactivated, exactly the way plugins work in WordPress.

Thanks, my main problem however is how to discover which tables are no longer needed. Some of them I can identify because I am familiar with them, however other plugins create tables and I'm not aware of those. I have the same problem with the wp_options table which has become bloated.
