Surely this problem must be something other people have come across?

comment Integrating a custom post type into a page hierarchy
I would very much like to see some code for this! This would be perfect, but I'm unable to get it working mysef.

No it's hierachical. Should it not be? Even if it's hierarchical, I can't set a page to be my CPT parent or can I?

comment Check if sidebar is rendered?
Thanks, maybe I'm not thinking correctly about this but I would like some more input. I'm thinking my approach, which would also be PHP, would be more flexible and scalable than checking each page like you suggest. I would like to somehow reference some function (in functions.php most likely) when is_active_sidebar returns false, like in my example, and then add the body classes. But I think when this renders, all functions have already been fired no?

comment Wordpress with composer, how to handle updates?
Thanks, I did that and it's working now. However, I'm curious if I can avoid getting the wp-content folder re-generated inside the core folder each time I do a composer update? Since I set up my content folder to live outside of core, it's just useless to have the default wp-content folder be regenerated there on each update.
