Started programming at 8 years old on Sinclair ZX81, with 1k of RAM, which I quickly used up causing it to crash, and my parents to buy me a 16k expansion pack.
A couple years later we got a BBC Model B on which I learned further, including VDU graphics and Sprite Generation. I mostly wrote games at this point.
To cut a long story short I got BSc in Applied Computing in 1995 from the University of East Anglia in Norwich, with a final year project in connecting a website to a database using cgi scripts written in C, and eventually started a career as a web programmer, mostly for internal intranet systems and currently a software as a service web and ivr survey system, mostly working on the reporting side of things.

How to reply to Buddypress notifications? Do you know what MTA software is running on your server? This would make a difference to the answer. For example, is it Postfix? |

Subsite theme mystery man replacement with Buddypress on main site Well, it turns out I need to have buddypress network enabled or else all of the subsites return nothing but a blank white screen. I must have a buddypress dependency somewhere in another network enabled plugin I guess... |

Subsite theme mystery man replacement with Buddypress on main site @TheDeadMedic You are right. It seems buddypress IS network activated. Is it safe to deactivate it and then reactivate on just the main site, or will this result in loss of activity/group data? |

How can I manage all multisite pending comments in one place? +1 This was almost exactly what I was looking for. I must remember to search for MU when looking for multi-site plugins. I'm guessing either my multisite of 50-100 sites is of moderate size, or my VPS is sufficiently powerful to handle this (perhaps it runs slower on shared hosting platforms?) |

Friendica integration using wordpress authentication @fdsa I don't think that would work as its the wrong way around. Besides a lot of my members, including myself, don't have facebook accounts. Nor do we want them. |
