And where do you need it? In a link? Than you might just want to use the get_(previous|next)_post() functions using a hook against pre_get_posts.

OK, first of all, why are you using multiple calls to the get_the_date() function, when you can just use a single with the whole format?

comment Check if post/page has gallery?
That's correct. In terms of perfomance, the accepted answer is faster. But someone might have used another shortcode for galleries that hooks into the get_post_gallery() function. Therefore this solution would always work and there is also no need to implement an additional function.

comment When to use WP_query(), query_posts() and pre_get_posts
That can also be done using "pre_get_posts". I did that to have a "static front page" listing my custom post types in a custom order and with a custom filter. This page is also paginated. Check out this question to see how it works: wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/30851/… So in short, there is still no more legitimate scenario for using query_posts ;)

comment WooCommerce: Translation lost on AJAX call in Checkout page
@Rarst thanks for your tips so far. I am the developer and I think this issue could be fixed by checking on a AJAX call, if the call was triggered from a frontend page. In this case I would than use a given lang request param if given or inactivate the localization, so the default WP_LANG value would be used. Now I only have to find out how to check if the AJAX call was coming from a frontend page ;) I keep you updated.

comment How to migrate subsite from dev multisite to production multisite
Due to the serialised strings in the database it is not that easy to do it. I haven't seen a plugin for a pure migration so far, but that absolutely something that should be done. The only was of moving "most" parts of one blog to another is through the XML export/import mechanism, but you still have to fix a lot of paths afterwards.

So than I still have to flush them each time a page loads? Otherwise they could be removed when another plugin flushes the rules? Or am I save, as I always add them on init? So is my solution correct?
