comment pagination redirecting from page number url before page requested
Pieter - thank you so much. I was getting bogged down with rewrite rules and using trailingslashit bypassed that completely. NB. i had to tweak query_defaults to set the CPT - 'post_type' => 'blogs'. Noted the use of new WP_Query and reading up on that a bit now. D.

isn't hat what this does - 'paged' => get_query_var('paged') and 'posts_per_page' => 20 ? The main object is finished with so that doesn't matter. The main issue is the URL redirect.

comment Admin is showing all posts on page 1
@birgire - just done that and the problem goes with another theme. I think its the pre_get_posts. It doesn't have a ppp set but maybe if its not it wipes it out.

i've had a good look and i'm certain the only theme file that can affect the admin is the functions.php. And i've searched theme wide for a posts_per_page setting. And at the top of the admin page that's showing ALL of the items its says in the spat out $wp-query 'posts_per_page' =>20.

comment Get value in custom field with taxonomy
Did you find a way to do this? The examples don't work for me neither. Not sure if you have to specify the custom taxonomy somewhere. Tried by DI and slug name.
