comment Custom Fields as Post Type Options
If you are trying to use a function that weDev supply you with and that does not work, I would contact them because you do pay for a service...

comment Adding a custom post type taxonomy template in plugin
Take a look at my own question: wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/204710/… I think you will found what you're looking for there in my code.

Thanks a lot! The weird thing is that I read the first link you supplied, but obviously I read it too fast ;-) Thanks!

If someone stumbles upon this, take a look at make.wordpress.org/core/2014/08/29/… for more improved order-functionality

@kuchenundkakao - I understand what you mean, but that doesn't actually solve the problem but really fakes the user to believe the problem is solved :-)

But then I would have to rename the plugin ;-)

thanks for your input/feedback. I think I will go with your option of preloading. For some reason it does not simply load fast enough. I'm just to annoyed when testing, and then the final users will be as well. I think data-attributes might solve the issue when creating the selectlist... maybe data-name, data-phone and data-link or maybe data-cpt="{json-format}" or similar. and then ajax won't be needed at all. it would just be to "pick the data" from the selection.

Forgive me for saying so, but I don't think it will be much faster just rearranging the $field_value like you did ?

The easiest way I think would be putting a function inside functions.php (preferably in a child theme) and calling that function from the template that are used.

You basically want to use WP functions outside of the WP framework? Is that what's you're saying?

comment Display content based on Author Custom Post type
Can you more precise about your conditional checks? get_post_type() would require an ID in your case (I think). Do you supply that?
