comment stray <p> elements
An invalid html document usually leads to weird style issues. That is to be expected.

comment How do I “fix” a wp-blog-header.php error message?
Ah yes, I see! Thought that this was part of your theme code. But your right, it's part of the WordPress core. Glad that a "reinstall" fixed it for you.

comment Wordpress FLIR (Facelift Image Replacement) plugin clipping off end of text
Seems like the plugin has a bug. The plugin doesn't seem to be actively maintained anyway, but your best bet is to contact the plugin author. The cufon project is pretty similar and production proven. Just google for it. But in times of CSS3 and HTML5 you could simply insert the font via @font-face.

comment Using PIE CSS in WordPress. “localizing” styles
Not sure if I understand your question correctly, but why would you want to localize your css files?

comment Displaying info in a sidebar
If you have a page for each game you could tie that info to the page and get the info for each post with a tag "x." I'm not sure if you can add additional meta data to a tag. That would be the ideal solution.

comment Best Wordpress Localization Plugin?
I just gave it a go, but I couldn't find a way to pass the content to Poedit. @editor: How would you do that?

comment Best Wordpress Localization Plugin?
After thinking a while about "editor's" answer I think his solutions is - technically speaking - quite neat. The only drawback is that you would have to translate the posts (or other content) with Poedit. You would not be able to translate them directly in WordPress.

comment Wikipedia - CMS
Your description is way too generic. What do you intend to do? Do you want to allow your users simply to create posts that are then posted on your blog? Please edit your question.

hmm, just tested again. I always get stray p tags. No plugins installed. Anyhow, the answer above solves my problem.
