WordPress swearer, verbose PHP developer.

In this moment I'm probably complaining about WordPress while coding WordPress plugins.

Despite all your rages I don't like cats nor Star Trek. And I hate gifs.

I'm developer of Brain Project, a collection of packages for a modern OOP development in WordPress.

@webtoure Your A was fine, I +1 it, the mine wasn't a critic. I added that part because it seemed to me that OP wanted to work in like that. Am I wrong? It happen :) Moreover seemed reasonable to me to avoid to inherit settings from a theme that may not be used since a long time (and whose settings may not be valid anymore) and activate a theme by accident isn't something that is going to happen often, IMO. But again, I offered a solution that people freely change per their needs because answers aren't only for who asked the Q, but also for any other person that might read it in the future.

comment WordPress Ajax Spitting out a page as a response?
Looking at your screenshot you see that request is sent to home page, not to admin-ajax.php. I guess reason is the one pointed out by @MattvanAndel: you're using, in the AJAX call in your js url: FreyaAjax.wp_url, but FreyaAjax.wp_url is not defined, what you have instead is FreyaAjax.ajaxurl that is set via wp_localize_script('script', 'FreyaAjax', array('ajaxurl' => ...

comment How to show a manageable list of images on a post?
@ialocin answering with a plugin suggestion is fine, if the answer is not link-only. request a plugin is not fine. I know I can suggest plugins, I actually suggested a lot of plugins, but that does not mean that asking for plugin suggestion is on topic. If I had a plugin to suggest for this specific question, I would suggest it, but I have not.

@Mauro Problems are: 1) this site is named "WordPress Development", so question have to regard development of plugins, not suggestions. You can use and suggest a plugin and not knowing any programming language. That's fine, but that's not the topic of the site. 2) Plugin suggestions, even free, are very likely "shopping list questions" a thing that is off-topic in almost all Stack Overflow network (see meta.stackexchange.com/questions/158809/…)

comment How to show a manageable list of images on a post?
The "core" way to maintain list of images attached to a post isn't very straightforward, however WP provides all the tools you need to build an effective UI. Problem is that it isn't possible to write an answer that explains how to do, because that will be so much for an answer. Surely there're plugins out there that can do what you're looking for, but suggesting plugins is out of the scope of this site. In short, IMO this question should be closed either as off topic or too broad. Being a bounty question it can't be closed, but I'll not be surprised if it will get no (good) answer.

comment How does nonce verification work?
@ed-ta wp_nonce_field actually calls wp_create_nonce. The previous is the easyest way, the latter gives you more control. Regarding your question, I'm not sure I understand... $_POST['noncename'], in PHP, is equal to the value sent via a form from a field with name 'noncename'.
