comment paged query leads to 404?
Thank you, I edited my question. It's almost working now, two more details I need to ask for: Frist off, I changed the two lines like you mentioned and now the 404 error is gone and page two is shown. I also changed 'paged' => (get_query_var('page')) ? get_query_var('page') : 1, However, the problem I'm having now is that page NR. 1 doesn't work anymore. So when reloading the home-page and I click on any number in the pagination everything works fine, but when clicking back on 1 nothing happens. When inspecting the element I see <a class="page-numbers" href="">1</a> How can I fix that?

Well, it works with $.get but doesn't work with $.ajax.

Well, this ajax call is public, so on the frontend. I changed it to wp_ajax_nopriv_get_event_list. However same thing. What am I doing wrong here?

But since I'm not that much of a programmer I'd love to see some actual code :) So how do I do that? If my param $cat is set to NULL I don't want my tax_query to happen.

Thank you, updated my question … I get the following error if I do this … Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'if' (T_IF), expecting ')'

OK; updated my question, however doesn't change anything. Still same error. Different console.log() though.

I've updated my question. Sorry if I'm annoying, just can't figure out why my function is not getting called.

Thank you, I'll give that a try later. However the last question I have is how I can call parameters of my function within ajax?

Well, I've updated my question with your feedback, however what's the url? How do I pass along the entire path to functions.php in my script.js file? And how do I add parameters to this function call?

yeah, but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm pretty new to javascript and ajax.
