I tried replacing .htaccess with the copy above, but the issue remains.

From this post, I re-uploaded wp-config.php, and the problem went away. Looks like I had not correctly uploaded the updated wp-config.php.

Hi Sam. It's been a long time. I'm having the same problem again. I tried the solution, and Wordpress Admin prompted me that I have to upgrade the network. After that, I still receive "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page." at /wp-admin/network

comment Properly display posts on homepage
Not sure if this is relevant, but if you've set a certain page to display as the home page in Settings > Reading, then you need to save your template as front-page.php not homepage.php. homepage.php is used when the home page just displays the most recent posts.

Ok. Well, the issue remained after I did that.

comment Theme's text domain & language.PO file not working
1. I added the code above into a function called transparent_theme_setup(), and then called add_action( 'after_setup_theme', 'transparent_theme_setup' );. Is this what you mean? 2. Codestyling plugin shows there's no error with .po/.mo files.

comment How to translate a plugin via .po .mo?
I tried this with my theme. In header.php, I have echo __("thanks-for-visiting", 'transparent');. In theme\languages\transparent-en_US.po, I have msgid "thanks-for-visiting" msgstr "Hello! Thank you for visiting. Take a look around and subscribe to the ". This outputs "thanks-for-visiting" on the front end.

The CSS .events-gridview.events-archive #main {background: none;} worked. Thank you.

comment Exclude sub category posts from category display
I just added a new post to Conferences, and it doesn't show in the News category page, so it looks like your fix is working for new posts, but not for posts which used to be in the News category, but were moved into separate subcategories.

comment Exclude sub category posts from category display
No errors. I've uploaded the updated code and it is still not working. My theme is a child theme of Twenty Twelve. See this page which contains "2012 WA Men’s Shed Conference Presentations" & "The Warbler – WA Men’s Shed newsletter". These two are not in the parent category.

Hi @1fixdotio. Thanks for helping out. I added this to my child theme's functions.php, but the subcategory posts still display in the parent category.
