comment Customized widget area - how to override or filter class xoxo?
Thanks, Anu and t31os. Turned out that making the style definition more specific was the cure. Blogroll is assigned the class xoxo, which defaults to list; however, I found that the declaration under the 'main' ID ( #main .alt-widget-area ul {list-style:none} and #main .alt-widget-area ul ul {list-style:square} gave me what I was looking for. Firebug helped to detect the specificity conflict.

comment Why is the CSS horizontal alignment for divs inside div container not displayed in my WP Theme?
t31os, in this version of WordPress, I see no such option in Settings > Reading. WordPress v 3.0.4 is using html 5, not XHTML.

Fernando, now that I reread my question above, I'm sorry it seems negative. I think v .18.3 is significant improvement. It did take 15 minutes to revise my template. I only think documentation at the WordPress plugin page should alert other List Category Post users for possible need to revise their templates when they update. Adding TEMPLATEPATH and STYLESHEETPATH for path to template is very clever and works perfectly. Your suggestion above looks more easily accessible for editing style, more user friendly. Thank you for your continued support and updating of List Category Posts plugin!
