@nothingtosee I've set the permalink to 99058672222 manually, the name is actually something else.

comment AJAX – SHORTINIT set to TRUE returns blank
I totally get that, going with SHORTINIT and require what's needed will make the ajax run faster though. Gonna see if I can located what's needed.

Doh. Yeah, loaded up formatting.php and it seems to get me further. Seems do_actions is holding me up. I've included plugin.php and pluggable.php aswell, but it won't work, and from what I understand I shouldn't need more?

is it the is_user_logged_in that's causing problem? I tried putting a die('hello'); before that check but it still came back blank.

comment URLs ending with number higher than 2147483647 redirects to to domain.com/2147483647
Deleted the page named "subpage" and it's now working as I want (no redirect).

I think the problem is that Wordpress(?) intercepts and redirects before I can do anything at all, let alone saving the Tumblr post id via window.location.pathname...

2147483648 is redirected, but not anything beneath.

@s_ha_dum Alright. But I'm still curious how to apply it. Since 84708495222 is just an example. How do I catch any other case? I noticed most examples talks about /subpage/<catcher>. Where catcher is static. Btw /subpage/9999 and /subpage/omg is not redirected. Leads me to think it's more about Wordpress not being able to handle large ints? core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/16445

@s_ha_dum Hm, is the purpose of an endpoint that it's "outside" Wordpress? I.e. it doesn't apply rewrites and acts more like a standalone page?

subpage is a page. Merely a placeholder actually, I created it because I got 404 (the data on subpageis fetched via javascript aswell)

It's a reference to a Tumblr post. The purpose with the whole thing is that the javascript checks the URL for a valid reference, if it's found, the content of the Tumblr post is fetched via ajax, so the number needs to be intact..

comment File input returns null in theme options array
@fischi I've progressed a bit and thus have created a new question with simplified code (although should be working this time) here: wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/135186/…

comment Can't seem to get wp_localize_script to work
@s_ha_dum Tried your code but it doesn't seem to be working. I want to add some PHP vars to be used with JS without tying it to a specific script.. And nothing gets printed by your suggestion. Hm.

I appreciate your answer @Milo but since you answered at the same time as s_ha_dum and his answer is more elaborate I have to go with that one. Thanks alot though!

Also I need to get the categories and tags of these posts. Is that possible even?

Thanks, but if I use $post->ID rather than $loop->post->ID it gives me nothing..

comment Allowing access to certain Wordpress created pages or posts with htaccess / htpasswd
@Rarst You might be right. The reason I posted here was because there's already some .htaccess interaction happening within Wordpress, how posts and pages are assigned. Thus I figured it's somehow Wordpress specific how htaccess handles these rewrites.
