Ok, that's a start.. the urls seem to be working as I would want them to when I add them to a menu: mysite.com/request-category/communication-equipment-requests/ but they just 404.

comment Sorting custom post types by category?
I'm making some progress here. I've created a custom template with a custom loop for a specified taxonomy and category. That part is working and wasn't too difficult. Now I just need to figure out a way to abstract it out so that the results can be determined by the url.

Thanks for the hard truth. At least now I have a starting point. I'm sure a bunch of people have already dealt with this. Surely it's not uncommon for a site to have multiple sortable post types.

Thanks, but it seems like that may be a little bit more complex than what I'm trying to accomplish. I can't imagine that much code being required just to tap in to the existing wordpress loop functionality.

s_ha_dum, Thanks, that's probably all I needed. Hopefully it won't be an issue. I'll let you know what happens.

comment How do I use wp_editor() in widget form?
Ok, my bad, I thought this was little simpler than it is. I might have a suggestion though. Take a look at the plugin wp-user-frontend and look at how the developer added the editor to pages. You'll find the code in wpuf-editor.php and add-post.php. Hope this helps.
