comment Saving custom fields to a custom taxonomy
Why? Is there a better solution? We are talking about saving metadata for custom fields on a custom post type. Couldn't find anything canned that fits. What is better? Still learning so thanks.

Obviously, huge concern. Is there another method to setting up the Wordpress core files in a safe place with child sites running off that core? This way you only update one set of core files for updates, enhancements, plugins, etc.

Great tutorial link. So easy! Thank you. (of course I wanted to roll my own as plug ins are too easy of a solution!)

comment How can I add the featured image functionality to a custom taxonomy?
Why not leave it is add_action('edited_category', 'save_taxonomy_custom_meta'); instead? I have seen this in a few examples where the function only accepts one parameter but the add_action declares 2. Just wondering why this would be. Thanks.

why pass 2 parameters 'add_action( 'edited_category', 'save_taxonomy_custom_meta', 10, 2 );' when the function only has 1 argument? Thanks.
