direct custom post query interferes with other queries on page Hi, yes, if I modify the plugin and make explicit call to my custom post type it is working - but surely there must be a way to allow the inclusion of my CPT for this via a function, so that standard cat and tag calls that are linked to my CPT can pull the CPT outside the main_query without modifying code - Evidently I need to learn how loops work and how to identify them so I can set up filters beyond just the main_query... |

direct custom post query interferes with other queries on page Actually, those queries are being done by a plugin - so I plan to look into it further - I will do that and report back, thanks for your thoughts |

direct custom post query interferes with other queries on page Hello, thanks much for your thoughts on this - while that doesn't solve the issue, it seems like it should probably be a part of this - but I have found some other things out and updated the main post... |

post content includes and seo vs. duplicate content Thanks - I decided to try to clarify my question as it relates to Wordpress specifically, hopefully that will make it easier to answer. But I will also check your related question link and appreciate your thoughts. |

post content includes and seo vs. duplicate content Hi thanks - I did see that already, it is discussing sub-pages and URL structure - but not including that content in its entirety directly into a front page. In fact, what we're doing seems a bit unique unfortunately... So the way wordpress handles canonicalization, site maps, etc. all plays a role in our dilemma that I can't seem to find addressed anywhere else... though, I too am continuing to look ;-) I appreciate your feedback and help... |

post content includes and seo vs. duplicate content Well, we're trying to understand how Wordpress is delivering this information, and how we need to adjust Wordpress to control it - after all, the content is managed and delivered by Wordpress? It's a gray area, but the answer needs to be related specifically to Wordpress and it's inherent controls for delivering content. |

Query reset problem or flawed code to enable custom post type query Yeah your answer is def. the way it should have worked vs. having to mess with queries and filters - though I'm starting to find w/WP there are more than a few hoops to jump through. Really appreciate the responses! |
