Sub-Theme (based on Taxonomies) Yes, it needs to be in a header of the page. But single.php is a full page. Worst case, make it a copy of default.php (which has full functionality) and just add your extra include in the appropriate area. |

Sub-Theme (based on Taxonomies) Why don't you just have a CSS file with name that incorporates the tag name? Then just get the tag name in the single.php template and use it to form the CSS file reference. It is probably easier to try it than to think it through. You can even do it with default 20/20 theme. |

How to search and replace text in all posts of a wordpress.com blog (NOT wordpress.org one)? @nam-gi-vu, I think if you export and import WordPress-specific XML format you can preserve the dates. It's been a while since I tested though. And of course, option 3 is more fun. |

Creating a Static Website based on a WordPress Website? Just an update that the original answer strategy did work. Couple of additional hints is not to link to WordPress RSS feed from template as that confuses wget. Download it as a separate command. Also, Wordpress bakes in full URLs for missing resources, so it is useful to do a search/replace after downloading to remove the host part: /bin/find scraped-en/ -type f -exec sed -i 's|hostname[^/]*||g' {} \; |

how could I have a user signing up for a blog, be assigned to that blog only Are you using old WPMU or new WordPress 3.0+ Network? In new WordPress, I don't think you would have any problems. The user gets a default role as per that sub-blog's settings. What do you see on user's admin screen. Do they actually show membership where they do not belong? |
