comment Wordpress: robots.txt gives 500 Internal Server Error
Good that it worked; I added a sample robots.txt file. The original problem might be that Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 in the function, or something on your server; windows or linux?

What about <a href="wordpress.org/extend/plugins/absolute-privacy/… Privacy « WordPress Plugins</a> ? You can require login and registration for all users. The plugin also disables RSS feeds.

You're right, good point. This is for use in a child theme. But I can see the difference now.

Thanks, that should work. get_template_part actually uses locate_template(), so toscho's idea works more directly.

Thanks! I was going to suggest a plugin. Works great; tested on my localhost and live site. (Edited a few typos in your answer).

comment Build a content and excerpt grid loop with paging and options for # of posts
@chip, If you have some time, want to jump in on this? I'm puzzled as to why we still get two full posts on page 2, etc. Most recent code is in my question. Thanks.

Thanks! That doesn't crash now, but it doesn't delete revisions. Is there some sort of query log I can enable to see what its doing/not doing?

comment Build a content and excerpt grid loop with paging and options for # of posts
@kaiser, damn, that was too easy; I should have figured that out. Works great. One last bug: the second page shows the 2 full posts and excerpts rather than all excerpts. That's beyond my feeble thinking.

This actually deletes all revisions on any post edit or publish.

Looks good and it should work, but I get a parse error on the public function fb_remove_revisions( $post_id = FALSE ) { line.
