Did the instructions in that other post work?

"How can someone access the root folder of my installation?" Your host is insecure. "What does the code do?" Try any of the online php decoders to decode it.

It's probably not that bug. Try what I suggested. Try raising your php memory allocation and timesouts in php.ini. If you have done no configuration at all to your VPS, you need to; all VPS's begin "plain vanilla" with very basic php (as well as httpd and mysql) configs.

Ah, interesting. How many menu items do you have?

Updating Centos might help with a corrupted file. But reupload all core WP files and folders first. And also reboot the VPS.

Read the docs. If you only want some posts, you will probably have to import them by category, or go back to manual entry.

@Johan Dahl: You have a 0% answer acceptance rate; you should go back to your old questions and accept correct answers or submit your own answers. That's the way this site works.

@One Trick Pony, I was surprised to see that, too. I was looking for a plain vanilla php function and WP had one.

Ah, that was the problem. Works fine now. Thanks!

No display of an email address - either plain text or encoded - in between the mailto: link and the ?subject=Webmail text.

Exactly; I only want to use antispambot on $curauth->publicemail, i.e. antispambot($curauth->publicemail) which doesn't work.

Using find/replace with a text editor in a text dump doesn't work; it breaks serialzed data.

comment Whenever I try to publish a post in wordpress, I always get redirected to the installation page…why?
They must have increased your hosting accounts php memory allocation, not your database size. Sounds like WP was running out of RAM.

Thanks for this extensive answer, and this should work fine on a VPS or other machine where one has access to vhosts, but I'm on a good - but shared - system.

Read what I wrote and the WP docs: "up one directory level..." That's one level above /wp-includes/. That's what works right now. If I moved wp-config.php into wp-admin or another folder, it wouldn't work.
