Why is WordPress WYSIWYMG and how do I make it WYSIWYG? Actually, better to turn off smilies from Dashboard - Settings / Writing as the link you provided suggests. |

Length of Category Names I see it now - right under "Posts"... I was guessing it would have been in settings or somewhere else. |

Different banner on home page Can we expand the sample above using the 3.0.x version of the default twentyten theme - i.e. public_html/wp-content/themes/twentyten/header.php. I'm guessing the changes will go somewhere in lines 60-66. |

Is there any way to set default for “Insert/Edit Link” to “Open link in new window”? This is the first time I've been able to try this - but I'm still too confused. I found this directory: public_html/wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins and created file wpse07785.js there. But I'm not sure what file to mod for the second code block above (the TinyMCE settings file?). I'm on 3.0.4 by the way. |

Organizing by super-categories (or nested categories)? I'm starting to see more-and-more your point. I was debating about creating a category called "Book Reviews", but then realized that maybe the book reviews should fall under the subject category instead. I'm thinking ahead of the menu bar I want to display under the banner. |

Length of Category Names I forgot to mention in my question, that one worry was that the categories might be menu links. |

Different banner on home page Thanks, so anytime I switch themes, I would have to repeat the procedure? I'll check the code this evening. |

Converting a hierarchy of off-site web-links to Word-Press Looks good, I'll give it a try later this week. |

Converting a hierarchy of off-site web-links to Word-Press The PHP-Fusion "side panels" are another interesting feature I need to study-up more in WordPress. Some of them are like mini-pages that are stored in "side panels", and then you can re-arrange them to appear anywhere on the left or right, maybe like the widgets in WP. |
