comment Previous Posts Link and Next Posts Link Show All The Same Articles?
Hmm. I moved the files and the whole folder into my plugins folder, but I'm still getting the same error message. It's probably something I'm missing, as my coding skills are not great.

About an hour after I tried it out, I realized that the issue was likely that I put the plugin in my theme folder instead of plugins. Completely my dumb mistake: I'm self taugh in web design and stressed out from the issues with the site. I think I'm going to give it a rest for now and try again tomorrow when I'm more refreshed. Like I said, I've worked out a reasonable fix for the issue, but now the loop is refusing to show a couple of posts, so I will probably try your plugin again and see if it fixes this new problem.

I decided that the easiest thing would be to just set up a new category for the other posts I wanted the main loop to skip and add an additional line of code to have it skip that category. I wanted to avoid adding a new category, but everything else I tried was just breaking my site more and more. I appreciate the help regardless.

I must be doing something wrong. I put in the template tag on the index page, but I'm only getting a fatal error message saying it's an undefined function.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this looks like it would be useful for finding the next single post on a single post page. I need something to fix the links on my main index page so they'll stop returning the same eight posts.

comment Header image is overlapping sidebar?
At least in this case, I have a header image that is slightly larger that the dimensions of my header, so "overflow: hidden" cuts off the parts of the image that don't fit inside of my header space.

And just in case anyone else runs into this problem, I used "Overflow:hidden" on the header to stop it from overlapping my menu bar.

You're more of a CSS guru than you know! It took a little messing around to figure out which position setting would keep my sidebar from wandering to the other side of the page, but once I got that right, z-index worked perfectly!

@Rarst I've decided to give up. Picked out another social media follow me plugin and while I miss everything being in a nice compact bar that expands to show all the links, the new plugin looks fine and the links work. Anyway, thanks for trying to sort this out for me. I really appreciate it.

@Rarst Deactivated and delted the plugin via the plugins page. Reinstalled and activated it and found that my old links were immediately restores. I guess the links must be kept somewhere other than the plugin folder? Anyway, I tried deleting all of the links, deleting the plugin again, and reinstalling it again. Problem persists. I'm starting to think I'd be better off finding a different follow me plugin.

WP plugins page claims I have 3.0.1 which looks like the latest version. Not sure why my code would not reflect that. (Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Spent all of yesterday shoveling snow.)

I checked in the form itself and while it does have the somewhat annoying feature of putting "http://" at the front of the form (kind of useless, since I just copy and paster the whole url), I've been careful to make sure there aren't any double https or leftover space.

I just did a little checking and it appears to be somewhat browser specific. The links work fine on Safari, but both Camino and Firefox have the problem I was describing. That's all the browsers I have, so I don't know how it works on any others.
