comment Backslashes being stripped from CSS
Many people who come here know next to nothing about the software or about programming in general. Answers should therefore include a reasonable explanation.

comment SQL in WordPress get_var() not working
You query custom tables inside a shortcode exactly the way are already querying them. There is nothing special about the process.

comment Get the date of the className or classID
You are going to have to parse the class and run a query to get the post date. Are you certain there is no other way to do what you want? That is a lot of work for what seems like a minor effect. Maybe explain exactly what you are trying to accomplish in context instead of asking how to do some small piece of the task.

comment wpdb get_row database query inquiry
If %d doesn't work you don't have numeric data, and yes, there is no protection from SQL injection in your code.

comment Order char by post title
Your questions is a duplicate of this somewhat old one. Short answer, that is correct alpha numeric ordering. To order the way you want you are in for some difficulty.

Really? Add it where exactly? Can we just drop that in functions.php and BAM! It works?

comment SQL in WordPress get_var() not working
My guess is that your "execute PHP in the content" plugin is isolating variables inside each [php] block so variables aren't available one to the other, but as @MarkKaplun said, "write proper shortcode instead of this horrible mess."

comment How to run PHP code in Text Widget with no plugin in WP 4.4
Yeah, I agree with Mark. This really is a bad idea. You should in theory be able to write a widget that would execute PHP safely, but one mistake and your site is compromised. And, honestly, if you are asking how to do this you don't have the knowledge to do it safely.

comment How to create a WordPress sandbox on a live server for website development?
Too many variables... what kind of server? What kind of access do you have to the server? Where do you want the sandbox? And... why would you want this at all? You are putting probably buggy, probably unstable, and potentially insecure code on a production server. Don't do that.

comment How can I use ajax in WordPress to refresh the page without reloading the Page?
Struggling how with this code? What is the specific problem? Frankly, I see three serious issues here: 1) You should almost never load a remote script when the script is bundled in WordPress, 2) You should not be loading a script like that all but should enqueue the script instead, and 3) you should not be creating your own AJAX gateway file (jan22ajaxratecard.php). But the actual question seems to be a pure Javascript one as far as I can tell, which is off-topic here per the faq.
