My account seems to be hacked by some of the moderators. This profile also got changed by somebody a few times. I migrated to Quora, an awesome Q & A web site. I feel very comfortable there.

Does a plugin file have to end with ?> I repeat the question asked here is clearly on-topic. In fact, whether ?> is needed is discussed in other WordPress related issues as presented in the question and the above comments. The fact that you opened the question and answered just proves it. |

Does a plugin file have to end with ?> Again, this question is entirely on-topic. And if you say it is off-topic and would have closed it, you are also one of those who attempt to limit people from getting help under the name of cleaning the site. If the actions of cleaning are taken by a person with narrow perspectives and limited knowledge, they would not clean the information but just limit the amount of information of the site itself. I would recommend the moderator to read questions carefully and take the time to think before taking actions, from next time. |

Does a plugin file have to end with ?> Not all cases of "headers already sent" issues are caused by the incorrect formatting, and some cases require WordPress specific knowledge and experiences to be resolved. You say we are trying to help. I would say some are not. In this case, the moderator attempted to limit the chances to get helps for his limited knowledge and judgement. It's not acceptable. |

Does a plugin file have to end with ?> If it's not a WordPress issue, you can say everything asked here is a PHP issue, not of WordPress, only because WordPress is written in PHP. I would not say that. Issues held among many WordPress users are asked here. And I solved the "headers already sent" issue not by fixing white spaces by the way. That means it's not caused by including incorrectly formatted php files. |

Does a plugin file have to end with ?> Although this question has arisen due to the XML error, it does not mean to be asking to debug the plugin script causing that error. The question is simply asking whether the formatting is right or not. |

Does a plugin file have to end with ?>It looks like you have a plugin adding a blank line somewhere before the opening XML declaration. This is the exact same issue that arose in both of the support threads you linked:
Then it is an issue relating to WordPress, especially in a topic of developing WordPress plugins. Also, I've recently started having "headers already sent" errors. And as I researched the issue, many pages mention that the plugin format must end with ?>. |

Does a plugin file have to end with ?> My question is about whether PHP tag closing is required to fix the WordPress specific error, not a question of PHP in general. |

Where does WordPress default SimplePie save cache data? As I test with my custom class extending the default WordPress SimplePie class, in addition to the above methods, set_cache_class('WP_Feed_Cache') and set_file_class('WP_SimplePie_File'), set_cache_duration(apply_filters('wp_feed_cache_transient_lifetime', $cacheduration, $url)) works fine without errors. |
