comment Used Duplicator to transfer a site. Now my media uploads aren't working
@Mark Is there a way to make sure that all month folders created from here on out gets automatically permissioned to 777? Before they were being created as 755 and everything worked fine so I'm not sure what changed.

@Mark Does this mean that I have to always keep the wp-content, uploads, 2014, and 10 folders to 777? Isn't that unsafe? Not sure why I was able to upload fine with 755 before the transfer.

@Robert There are so far no images in that folder. I'm trying to upload the first one.

comment Is there a way to change the complete URL of the blog post for a redirecting tracking link?
There is a separate tracking URL for each blog post. There will only be five or so posts so not many tracking URLs total. Basically, each blog post will be set up with a standard title (e.g. news-post-1, news-post-2, etc.) which will each have its own tracking URL provided by the client.

Yes, it sends me to that link but that link is a redirect to the actual url of the blog post. The 'Page Links To' plugin changes the url of the blog post entirely.

Maybe I explained it wrong or maybe I'm still confused, but I tried using jQuery to change the URL of the blog post like this: $('#post-1 h1 a').attr('href', 'http://clk.atdmt.com/CNT/go/1234567/01/'); and it seemed to work.

@G.M. Yes, for example, I just tried the plugin "Page Links To" which allowed me to enter in a custom URL for the blog post. However, this doesn't work for my situation because the plugin changes the URL of the blog post entirely. I want to keep the blog post URL, but just add a redirect link if possible.

Is it possible to switch out the ID for a class? The multiple duplicate IDs are throwing out errors. If it's a lot of work, it doesn't matter much. After all, the site doesn't necessarily have to be 100% valid.

comment “coming soon” placeholder blog posts?
Just noticed an issue with this. Everything works fine, but when I get to the single blog pages, I notice that five articles get added to the single post that's supposed to be there. So to clarify, on the single pages, my blog post is there, followed by the navigation, then followed by five additional 'coming soon' posts. How can I get rid of these for the single pages?

Thank you! That took care of the posts. As far as the links in the coming soon posts, I think it would be logical to just get rid of the .post-info div that reveals the info and just leave the coming soon image. I can do this with CSS but I was wondering if it was more efficient to just implement that into the function itself.

Thanks, that fixed the issue with the 7th post getting added, but it looks like the second page still only gets 1 'coming soon' post added when there should be 5. Also, the 'fake' posts look like they still have permalinks. The hashtag doesn't get attributed to the href, or will that get covered up once I post an actual coming soon image?
